Implant-Supported Dental Bridges

Serving Greater Philadelphia, including Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, & Newtown Square.

Ardmore-area patients looking to replace missing teeth are often satisfied with dental bridges. While dental implants are often more attractive options, some patients are not good candidates for implants. For them, Dr. Jeffrey Bellisario can fit a bridge that uses your adjoining teeth to replace your missing tooth.

However, if you’re missing a couple teeth (but not enough to justify replacing an entire row) and Dr. Bellisario thinks you might put too much pressure on a traditional bridge through grinding or clenching, we can use dental implants to support a bridge.

In this arrangement, we use titanium implant roots instead of your natural teeth to anchor your bridge. This process involves placing the titanium implants in your jaw, waiting a few months for them to fully integrate into the bone and then attaching a custom-made dental bridge to the implants.

We start with a softer, temporary bridge to cushion the new implants and get you used to the feel of your new bridge. After a few weeks, we replace the temporary bridge with your permanent dental work.

By using dental implants to support a dental bridge, Dr. Bellisario will give you inconspicuous tooth replacement with a strong foundation.
